The 1/56th
Here you will find details of our range of 1/56th
scale, resin and white metal vehicles suitable for collectors, modelers, and wargamers. These vehicles were specifically designed
to compliment the figure ranges now being produced by companies such as Mongrel
Miniatures and MoFo. As such they are scaled to those
figures so that you may be sure of compatibility. The vehicles are designed by
some of the finest model makers working in the business today.
Each vehicle
comes unpainted in a kit form consisting of an average of 3 to 5 resin pieces
with additional white metal fittings for details such as hatches and guns.
These are easily assembled using proprietary glue. We recommend gel-type cyanoacrylate
(superglue!). Each kit includes a diagram to assist in its construction.
Linked to the
details for each model you will find a hyperlink to a background page which
includes more information on each model, including which date they came into
production, which theatre of warfare they were used in, and links to
interesting internet resource pages.
Wargamers:
The 1/56th scale has been chosen after careful discussion with the manufacturers of the Mongrel Miniatures range of Cold War figures. Since these are created by the same designer of the MoFO range you can be assured of complete compatibility.
Modellers:
Our kits are
designed with functionality in mind, and have a good level of detail. They can
also form the basis for super-detailing or conversion projects. Whilst we will
be producing some variants of each vehicle, there were many more which can be
created with the minimum of work so search the Internet or your bookshelves for
a vast array of possible conversion jobs! The background pages will give you a
starting point for your research.
